Montreal Record Stores Fined For RSD Hours
This is terrible: four Montreal record stores have been fined for staying open late, which according to Quebec law is past 5pm on weekends.
The day of the stores’ infractions also happened to be last April 13, Record Store Day, when it’s hardly unusual for shops all around the world to extend their hours.
In their interview with Jordan Robson-Cramer, co-owner of Phonopolis, CTV Montreal points out that Montreal already has a problem with empty storefronts.
